The AFL CSS1 Contractor Series is a compact and robust light source, designed to be used in the field for the installation and maintenance of fiber optic networks. It is ideal for technicians who need to perform testing and troubleshooting in both multimode and single-mode fiber. The CSS1 series offers reliable performance with multiple test tones for fiber identification, continuous wave output (CW), and is compatible with a variety of fiber connections via adapter ports. Perfect for testing attenuation, fiber identification, and mid-span control.

 CSS1-MM Multimode LED Light Source (850/1300 nm), Fast SC Connector

 

 CSS1-MM is a multimode LED light source that operates at wavelengths of 850 nm and 1300 nm, and is supplied with a fixed SC connector. It has an output power of -20 dBm and provides both 50 and 62.5 μm mandrels for different fiber sizes. Its continuous wave output makes it a reliable tool for technicians performing fiber optic loss tests and identification.

 CSS1-SM is a single-mode laser light source with wavelengths of 1310 nm and 1550 nm, and has an FC connector. It delivers 0 dBm output power and offers a flexible adapter port that accepts multiple connector adapters (FC, SC, ST, LC). This model is particularly useful for more precise testing in single-mode fiber, including cleaning and inspection of fibers.
